The Cliff Notes on practical ChristianityIntroduction:The Author spent a number of foundational years in an intense study group as detailed in the series "John, a theology teacher". In the author's case, all those years of intense study and diligent research had an interesting backlash. At some point the author began to feel 'stuffed'. Study and research and lost it's luster, so to speak. Two factors can be attributed to this change in perspective and motivation level.
6Familiarity with the text actually dulled the impact by the human tendancey to skim what is assumed to be previously understood At some point the author became thoroughly frustraited at the apparent inability to continue pursuing the knowlege and wisdom of the L*rd at the same pace. Self castigation and condemnation followed in short order. Another 'gotcha'. Soon after, that which the author thought was memorized by rote began slipping away. Hmmmm... Finally the author threw up the preverbial hands and earnestly sought the L*rd for some simple system of accurately remembering the teachings pertaining to a particular situation. And thus having the tools at hand to assist in fulfilling the requirements of being a follower and diciple of Jesus the Christ. Voila - Nobles Oblige!
